You CAN change who you believe. You can change what messages you internalize. You can listen to what resonates with you and discard what doesn’t make sense.
That doesn’t mean you don’t accept anybody else’s input. It means that your critical thinking skills first and foremost go towards protecting thyself. If it doesn’t work for you, do not listen to it!
