Queen of Swords, 3 of Pents: Messy Table

Everything’s on the table right now — the hard stuff, the unwanted clarity, and yes, even the good things that come with their own complications. The Queen of Swords and Three of Pentacles have something to say about all of it.

Queen of Swords, 3 of Pents: Messy Table Everyday Tarot

Are you feeling the sharp points lately? Damn, but I am.

I’ve been getting a lot of news lately—not all of it good, not all of it easy to sit with. Some of it I saw coming. Some of it I really didn’t want to see. But all of it is something I can actually work with, because it’s real. I expect I’m not the only one dealing with that right now.

Most everything is on the table at the moment. The truths, hard or not. The things we’d rather have kept in the “deal with later” pile. But also the good stuff—the things we actually wanted (that still come with their own complications). That’s almost harder, sometimes. When you can’t even be straightforwardly happy or stressed because some of what’s on that table is good, just not easy. It’s a messy table. But it’s the table we’ve got.

That Queen of Swords is back from last week, moving from Advice to Outlook. So let’s see what the cards have to say. After all, there are two sides to every sword. And I suspect we’ll be dealing with both of them!

Coming Up in the Cards

The Star Tarot speaks to us in full, saturated color this week, as is fitting for this message.

Outlook: Queen of Swords

The Queen of Swords is a bringer of clarity and reason. She’s not mushy or equivocal. She’s logically prioritizing goals and eliminating extraneous distractions. If you want to see things happen, this queen is one of your most powerful allies. She’s not here to comfort you. She’s here to make sure you stop guessing and start acknowledging.

Given that we’re talking about the general outlook, I am expecting projects, plans, and progress to begin coming into focus and next steps becoming clearer. This is beneficial in the big picture, if not entirely comfortable short-term.

Advice: Three of Pentacles

Now that you’ve got your intel, use it! The Three of Pentacles isn’t just a “teamwork is good” generic statement—it’s about pulling in the right people with the right skills. Not just company or emotional support, but useful expertise. The architect, the mason, the one who’s done this before. Planning or solutions may require more than just you, and that’s not a weakness. That’s how things actually get built.

So as far as advice, this card suggests consultation, especially with others who are involved with your decisions. You may also choose to connect with experts or multiple sources in forming your plans. But forming your plans is what you want to be doing here.

Better to know clearly, even if you don’t like all the information, than to stumble along trying to avoid what you don’t want to see. And it’s better to have a plan than hold your breath. So that’s what we’re shooting for.

Now, For You

Where’s your clarity landing right now—and are you letting yourself actually use it? Who do you need to call in?
