It’s day three—or is it fourteen—of the Snowpocalypse? The days blend together. My fuzzy cat socks are getting a workout, and so is my brain.
Sometimes, it feels like everything is loud at once. It’s a lot. And honestly, even if you’re not saying much out loud, just thinking about it all can be exhausting.
So let’s look at what the cards have to say because I’m all in for some good advice right about now!
In the Cards
This week I pulled from the fun and quirky Housewives’ Tarot.

Outlook: Seven of Wands Reversed
Seven of Wands upright is that “defend your hill” energy, ready to stand your ground no matter what. Reversed, though, it feels more like, “Why am I fighting like this, and is it really effective enough to be worth what it’s costing?” I’m seeing this as a kind of battle-weariness.
The constant pull to explain, justify, or brace for impact takes a toll. You can be firm in what you believe without constantly being on the defensive. You can care deeply without arguing every point (or even any point).
There’s a lot of tension in the air collectively right now, and some conversations feel like guaranteed stress no matter which way they go. Seven of Wands reversed suggests stepping back from the need to persuade, perform, or prove. Not because nothing matters, but because you matter too. It’s okay to prioritize your own well-being over endless conflict, external or internal.
Advice: The Empress
Enter The Empress: soft, strong, and focused on growth instead of combat.
She isn’t asking you to fix the world. She’s asking you to tend your world: your body, your home, your creative life, your closest relationships. Instead of pouring all your energy into defending your position, she wants that energy redirected into nurturing what actually feeds you.
This might look like:
- Eating food that truly nourishes you, not just grabbing whatever keeps you upright.
- Letting yourself rest without guilt when you’re tired of holding everything together.
- Creating something—art, writing, music, a meal—just because it feels good, not because it proves anything.
- Spending time with the people (or critters) who feel safe and real, rather than doomscrolling arguments you’ll never resolve or worrying about things you have no control over.
The Empress reminds you that your life grows where your care goes. If you stop channeling all your energy into tension and defense, what could blossom instead?
Now for You
This week, you might ask yourself:
- Where am I tired of fighting, whether out loud or only in my head?
- Which conversations or mental loops leave me drained?
- What would it look like to put my energy into caring for myself and my immediate world instead—at least for now?
Let the Empress guide you toward what sustains you, so you’re not living in constant reaction to everything around you, but rooted in what you actually want to grow.
