Death Rx, 4 of Pentacles Rx: Necessary Upheaval

Feeling unsettled by changes you didn’t exactly vote for? This week’s it’s all about riding out necessary upheaval and learning to work with what’s in front of you.

Death Rx, 4 of Pentacles Rx: Necessary Upheaval Everyday Tarot

It’s still pretty intense out there and I’m feeling it, both in the collective and in my own life.

Things you don’t directly control are especially loud and looming right now, and when they flare up, it gets hard to feel settled about much of anything.

So I was a little concerned when I pulled these cards for the week. I didn’t want to see instability. I wanted neat, tidy resolution, all tied up in a gift box with a huge, polka-dot bow on top. For me and for you.

Evidently, not happening. But we are where we are, so let’s see what advice we can get to manage it.

Coming Up in the Cards

Outlook: Death Reversed

The cards this week are screaming “Upheaval.” Death reversed doesn’t necessarily indicated a literal death, even the ‘death’ of a situation, but that doesn’t mean it’s comfortable energy regardless.

Systems may be getting shaken up. What used to work may have to be adjusted or abandoned for a completely different approach now. You can feel the cards are all up in the air, but you don’t know where they’re going to land, and that not‑knowing is its own special kind of unnerving.

Advice: Four of Pentacles Reversed

As advice, the reversed Four of Pentacles suggests letting those apple carts get upset. That means we may end up changing approach or tactics, going out of the comfort zone, facing fears directly or otherwise allowing this shift to take place. (As if we had a choice about allowing it. Har!)

For me, that looks a lot like not trying to pre‑solve every possible worst‑case scenario in my head, and instead focusing on how to respond to what’s actually in front of me as it arrives. This may still be unsettling, but is far more manageable.

Because shifts are happening whether we vote yes or no. Our job is to work with what we’ve got and adjust our approach to what works now, not what used to work.

Outcome: The Sun

I pulled another card on this one, because honestly, I found the upheaval and advice….concerning. Confession: The first thing that pops into my head when I’m drawing for the weekly is whatever I have going on in my own life. Probably the same as you.

I was happy with the follow‑up. The Sun is a good outcome. It shows a fresh start, and one we’ll actually be happy with. Consider me reassured—and I hope you can take some of that reassurance home for yourself, too.

Now, for You

If your brain has been running laps around the same worries lately, you’re not alone. What part of your life is facing significant upheaval? How might you venture outside your comfort zone, past any anxiety, to adapt?
