05/20/13: Sneaky Bastard / 7 Swords

Somebody’s trying to take off with power that does not belong to them! But the greed and sloppiness factor makes it possible to call them out. Just be ready for the finger to get pointed back at you in the process.

Well, the Seven of Swords certainly makes an interesting follow-up to the reversed Emperor. Don’t you think? Looks like an answer to the question, where has the Emperor’s power been going?

The thief grabs whatever he can and slides on out the door when nobody is watching. This guy isn’t even waiting for the cover of night! He seems not to have remorse, nor a lot of restraint, for that matter. He’s sloppy, dropping those blades on his way out. He’s not just taking one or two swords, but an armload. Perhaps his greed or sloppiness will be his undoing.

Or not, I don’t know. Where are the palace guards, anyway?!?

Be wary of people today who are out merely for themselves. If you find need to challenge one, look for greed or sloppiness as potential leverage points—in addition to the light of day. Attention is powerful here, because this type of ne’er-do-well relies on subversion and misdirection to achieve his aims. If you have integrity (i.e. nothing to fear from the light of attention), you are well-positioned to battle this hooligan because you can bet your ass, he’ll be trying to get that attention focused elsewhere.

Is there a thief in your midst?

  1. Well, for me and everybody else, who had to answer the phone at the customer service desk at work, it was just totally annoying having people constantly calling in if we’re open (it’s Victoria Day here in Canada – a public holiday) and what our hours are.
