11/28/11: Better Problem Solving | Rev. Knight of Pentacles, Temperance

Knowing what to consider can be half the battle, no?

11/28/11: Better Problem Solving | Rev. Knight of Pentacles, Temperance Everyday Tarot

“We experience problem-solving sessions as war zones, we view competing ideas as enemies, and we use problems as weapons to blame and defeat opposition forces. No wonder we can’t come up with real lasting solutions!” Margaret J. Wheatley

Today’s Tarot is the reversed Knight of Pentacles (Air in Earth) and Temperance (Sagittarius). If you become over-focused on details now, you’ll miss the boat. It’s true, certainly, the how is relevant, but avoid becoming emotionally attached to the “how” and loosing track of the what. You’ll have much better results if you keep your sights on the “what” and integrate various ideas of achieving. A multi-pronged approach works best now.

Do you tend to focus on one solution at a time, or integrate multiple approaches to a problem?

  1. options and plan b’s..you must have these. Flexibility and adaptability are pretty key, I feel.

  2. I can be caught either way: either being too focused, and missing out elsewhere, or not being nearly focused enough, and not making as much progress as I should. I’ve had some things pop into my head, that led me in the right direction.
