Hello, Grandpa.

I just met my grandpa.

Hello, Grandpa. Magick

I’m browsing Facebook and somebody posts about a website, where you can look up grave pictures. Famous people, or ordinary.

I idly click on over, wondering if there would be anybody I know on there. The first dead person I think of is my grandfather so I type his name,  guessing at the year he died. I’m not 100% sure–I never met him; he passed before I was born. I also know next to nothing about him. A couple of my Dad’s family stories, but that’s about it.

I got the year right. There he was, boom!

Hello, Grandpa. Magick

I didn’t even know he was a soldier.

I’m reading the bio and think to myself, “I’ll have to run his chart.” Scanning the dates on the tombstone…

Ohhhhh.

Tomorrow is his death anniversary.

Hello, Grandpa! Nice to meet you. Thank you for introducing yourself. I hope to get better acquainted.

Love, Dixie

I “stumbled” across something similar a few years ago. It was called the Missisippi Tombstone Project. I found a whole family that I had never met. More fascinating than you can put into words..isn’t it?

  2. What’s even more ironic..I just looked up the place again (after reading this). My great-grandmother was the first tombstone I found originally (pre-astrology interest). When I refound it today, I noticed her birthday is on Sunday. And, someone added a picture, I’ve never seen one of her before. LOL 🙂

So cool! I never knew either of my grandfathers. One was killed in an accident when my Mom was just a toddler. He was a Cancer with Scorpio Moon, with a huge Cancer stellium – Sun, Mercury and Venus all within the same degree in Cancer. The other one never participated in his kids’ lives and talking about him was taboo after my Grandma got remarried. For the longest time, I didn’t know his birthdate or year even. Dad said he doesn’t know either. Then about 6 months ago, as I was looking for another document, I suddenly found his obituary in the drawer. Complete with his birthdate and everything. Nobody remembered having it, as he died already in late 1980ties. A Leo with Pisces Moon, and a Pluto-Venus conjunction. These are most interesting patterns for me.

Yeah, I know the moment… Hello, Grandpa. Nice to meet you!
