04/30/12: Seasons of Luck | the Wheel

Round and round she goes, and where she stops, nobody knows! It’s the Wheel (Jupiter), to address good luck, bad luck, and sudden reversals thereof.

It’s the twist of the fates, the blink of an eye, a shift in the wind with the Wheel. Especially upright, this card often points to upticks in the cycle. Nice! But we’re also seeing the Fool in all stages of good luck and bad. It’s all part of the same whole. Both are needed at different stages in the growth/destruction/rebirth dance of the Universe.

The zodiac signs on the wheel show changing seasons. There’s an ebb and flow that comes with the changing tides.

But what you see isn’t always what you get. At times, it takes a damn long time to figure it out, too. If you don’t like where you’re at in the cycle, don’t define yourself by it and don’t cling. Work to release and clear stress, anxiety and pain. Look for activities that open up your heart in one way or another. Nothing gets energy flowing upward like love.

Do you see luck coming in seasons?

  1. What I find interesting about luck is that with the distance of time, the definition of whether something that happened to you is considered “good” or “bad”, changes. When I lost my job 3 years ago, it was the worst thing that could have happened. How was I going to get by, was I going to lose my house? Fear and anguish abounded. Now, 3 years later, no, life isn’t easy, I’m still working on finding a way to get by financially, but I’ve survived. Last month I had to drive by the hotel, and the sense of relief that I never again have to walk into that abusive, horrid, situation was huge. I realized that as Pluto left my 11th, having destroyed all of my extended communities, I had shed a skin that no longer fit, was no longer me. I’m still a little raw, still don’t know exactly what is me, but I’m getting the chance to redefine, and that is a blessing indeed
