Well, this combo kind of speaks for itself, doesn’t it? The Eight of Wands pairs with “Immediate Future” just to tell you what you already know: it’s up in the air! This feels very Uranus-y.
I always notice with this version, the girl is not looking at the wands. Whether that’s a studied application of the axiom “a watched pot never boils” or it’s just her expecting something entirely different, I cannot say. What I can say is that she’s about to get popped upside the head with a mess of wands!
I won’t be so trite as to tell you to “expect the unexpected.” I will say this is a fast-moving, short-term influence, though. The Eight of Wands are always unsettled, but never up in the air for a long time. So take comfort in knowing it’s the immediate future we’re talking here as being unsettled, not forever. And stay alert!
