Here are a few randomly relevant articles to consider.
This word keeps coming up for me lately. Like, every day in the past week. Tough one.
I am well versed in the art of taking flying leaps, but the word trust does not enter into the equation. I take calculated risks, then I deal with the consequences (if negative) or celebrate and enjoy them (if positive).
Trust is an empty concept for me. (I even wrote a whole article once, explaining why! )
(I just scanned my hard disc for it, in vain. Said article must be on a backup CD somewhere, never to resurface! )
If you need it, it will resurface. Maybe it ain’t showing up because you don’t need it today. New moon and all… :moon:
I heard this country music song from Randy Travis:
“No chains, no strings
No fences, no walls
No net, just you
To catch me when I fall
Look heart, no hands”
Thanks to Eric for pointing out to me this is the Knight, not the Page. Corrected. I do that sometimes with the nontraditional decks.
I’m totally digging the do-it-yourself today!
Always liked that Randy Travis, and now that I actually know some lyrics to one of his songs, I know why! (Wonder if he was driving with no hands when he got a dui recently?!)
Yeah… I guess I DO take calculated risks/leaps based on past experience… of taking leaps with trust without knowing exactly how or where I will land. Not all landings have been easy and perfect, but I have probably learned how to better leap, fly, land, (and recover from sometimes getting hurt!) in the process.
Letting go (yesterday) and trust are sometimes two of the hardest things for me, but also two of the most rewarding things to do. Thanks for the reminders.
You guys all rock. Thanks everyone for your feedback and contributions. I can’t wait till we have that forum! I think Dixie has congregated an awesome community! Thanks girl! :-*
