02/15/13: Real Mess vs. Pretty Façade / Tower

Oh man. The cards just ain’t going to give a chick a break! Seriously. The Tower already? Oy.

Okay, okay. In case the cards are listening, I’m not going to be kvetching. So let’s reign it in, shall we?

Maybe your worldview is under attack. (It’s probably not getting hit from Tree-people, but whatever). The point is, even the most cherished assumptions, even the most taken-for-granted facts, even those cornerstones you take for granted as absolute reality can and will come down if they are built on false premises. You dig?

This is not only okay, it’s right. I would even go so far as to say “good,” if I weren’t concerned somebody would feel the need to smack me. So I’ll stick with “right,” as in, “reflects reality.”

If the Tower stands, it’s because it has structural integrity. If the Tower falls, it’s because it does not. So while no one welcomes the disruption and generally rude awakening of a Tower crashing, you can at least welcome in the truth. Nobody questions where they stand when the Tower has fallen.

Knowing the truth is powerful! Be sad for losses if you will, but know: once any tears are wiped away, what you see before you is REAL. Solid and unchanging, there are no  more rugs to be yanked from beneath you, no rotting mess that’s hidden out of view.

I’d rather have a real mess to clean up than a pretty but fake façade to trick me into thinking nothing is amiss. With the mess, you can do something about it.

You feeling the Tower? (Hope NOT!)

  1. I have so felt the Tower & it SUCKED!!! “I’d rather have a real mess to clean up than a pretty but fake façade to trick me into thinking nothing is amiss.” I HATE FACADES! F***ING lovely veneer which hides the truth. We’ve had plenty of this, partners, board members, our builder but the absolute worst & most hurtful is when it comes from family. My name was a facade for God’s sake!! This was the crack was in my foundation.

TRUTH will help you uncover where your foundation is unstable. You can’t fix what you don’t know is cracked or crumbling. Smoke & mirrors only divert your attention away while things get worse as time passes.

I’m not feeling the Tower right now, thank God, yet I know it’ll show up again. When it does, even if it hurts, I’m better able to handle things because my foundation is more stable. I still get tweaked & over react sometimes WAY more than I’d like to, but I know it’s just feelings from-old wounds NOT the Tower.

Thank you my pink haired ninja friend for helping me stabilize my foundation. You are AWESOME! Love you, TracI mother f***ing E

    1. Tower is definitely one of the “hard energy” cards! I’m very glad you’re not feeling it right now. And thank you for your kind words. Always appreciated. ♥

  2. I hope this doesn’t come into play for me today – I’ve had too much of the Tower.

Did you hear about the meteor shards hitting Russia, though? There was an explosion in the sky, and then more as parts of it hit the ground and buildings.

  3. This is a great post, and thankfully not feeling the tower (and I’m friends to the Ents so I hope they wouldn’t attack whilst I was visiting if I was), but I am aware that I must keep my feet on the ground with things in the near future with the job hunt and possibilities.
The truth will set you free but first it will piss you off. . . . No truer words were ever spoken.

Thank you again, pink haired ninja.

  4. RE: Be sad for losses if you will, but know: once any tears are wiped away, what you see before you is REAL. Solid and unchanging, there are no more rugs to be yanked from beneath you, no rotting mess that’s hidden out of view.

Ha! Too long a story to fully tell here, but yes, this applies very specifically to me in terms of my garage, that was a key reason in me buying this property… the large, two-storey garage — my “tower”, was supposed to be a key part of two businesses I was attempting to start. Turns out it is “all facade” and is “rotten to the core” so I cannot use it. Today I woke up with the intention of going in there and getting rid of stuff — dreams (goals) that I have abandoned (both businesses).

    1. Sorry you have a mess to clean, Bal. I know you to be a talented and positively focused individual who works very hard to live well. Your take on Tower energy is not a surprise in that context. May it bring you much beautiful potential! ♥

  5. I like Tower moments or Tower events, actually. Clean sweep. Clean slate. Fresh start. Whole new potential.

POTENTIAL. Now there’s a feel-good word! ::thumb up::

  6. Hah. I don’t think I even need to reply if I feel the Tower energy or not. I did a reading for myself today and The Tower came out of the deck, and only after this I came to see what you had written about, Dixie. Ironic, isn’t it. This is all highly ironic.

Just still waiting for the shock to clear, for the moment at least.
