Three of Swords: Step Back

Stepping back and letting go–emotional detachment–looks to be a saving grace in the coming week.

Because, ouch. This is the Three of Swords (aka the “heartbreak card,” associated with Saturn in Libra). Applying this message to the world at large, the sense I have is of a change in perspective (and one that cannot be undone). It may or may not involve an actual, physical separation, but a change in perception or thinking (Swords) is part of the mix.

What you perceive is apt to shift in ways that may feel isolating (and are not likely to change). That’s okay–although I cannot promise it will feel comfortable in the process. But it is what it is, you know?

You can soften this up a lot, though.

Don’t look to figure out who is right, or how someone else could be so wrong! That will make you crazy. Don’t take it upon yourself to sell your brand of reality to the world–even to those in your immediate vicinity. Letting all that go will take the edge off.

Nobody’s going to hear you unless they’re already in the neighborhood anyway, and you don’t control that. And everybody has the right to what goes on inside their very own head.

Just invoke compassion. Kindness. When patience starts to wear, then a little detaching and self-care works wonders.

It’s a mighty nice thing, you don’t have to figure anything out for the world. That would be a crap job if ever there was one!
