Over the last few years, I’ve been spending a lot of time with my family.
A lot of time.
After decades of low or no contact, that’s been an adjustment.
Things look different from an adult perspective. In some ways, I had to take apart my old perceptions—because they were already fraying at the seams—and reassemble them with entirely new material.
Puzzle pieces are clicking into place, and those assumptions I once held—the ‘just because’ beliefs—now make more sense in context. I feel good about the work I’ve done, about the process. I understand myself more than I ever have, and that understanding brings choices. It sparks ideas. It fuels inspiration.
Some days, it’s still hard work. But it’s work worth doing.
And that process—taking things apart, putting them back together differently—is exactly what I see in this week’s cards.
Next Week in the Cards
This week, we’re checking in with the ever-sassy Housewives’ Tarot.
Outlook: The Sun – Now, that’s delightful news! A little sunny-side up would be welcome.
The Sun is always happy, but it also brings clarity. It’s the dawn, revealing what happened overnight. Expect some good news or fresh starts. While not everything will magically fall into place, you’ll likely see early signs of real improvement. You’re also likely to be noticing things you missed earlier. Things are looking up—enjoy that shift in perspective!
Advice: Knight of Swords – Keep thinking, exploring, and questioning. Stay current, stay informed, and communicate clearly. Speak up for yourself, your beliefs, and those who need a voice.
Your stance may evolve with some speed as new information comes in, and that’s perfectly okay—just keep adjusting based on the best understanding you have right now. That will keep you travelling in the general direction.
Together, these cards set the stage for forward momentum. Clarity inbound, and the Knight is pushing for thought, talk, and movement. It’s a great time to explore new directions, get clear on your next steps, and map things out.
But take a cue from our Knight: pivot with purpose. He’s fast-moving, but he doesn’t turn just for the sake of it. You might be chasing your heart’s desire (an excellent quest!), but don’t forget to check in with yourself, make a plan, and stay on top of what’s unfolding. Let your head and heart be partners on this journey.
Now for You:
What’s cooking in your life right now? Are you following the recipe—or tweaking it to make something even better?
