Ever start worrying about something and find yourself Googling every possible scenario?
Just digging and digging for that one little bit of information that will reassure you, everything is going to be alright? Or maybe you’ll find the magic steps to fix it all, right now. Sometimes, Googling is like an atheist’s version of praying.
But any little nugget of information found while mired in fear doesn’t begin to knock a dent in the knot in the stomach that comes from mentally rehearsing various disaster scenarios. It just seems to make it worse.
You know we just had an eclipse, right?
Next week looks like that. So I’m calling this an Ecliptic Hangover.
Next Week in Tarot
The outlook this week is the Seven of Cups (Water); advice is to be the Emperor. Cards from The Good Tarot.
Expect lots of distraction this week, coming in the form of intricately woven narratives. I’m seeing flow charts with multiple forks branching out in every direction. Misconception melds around fact to make for a stunning story but it doesn’t necessarily equate with personal reality.
It would be very easy to become mesmerized by the hubbub of “look here, look here, look here!” There’s not much value in doing so, however.
Your mission–one you’d do well to accept, anyway–is maintaining a strong, even courageous independence from the cacophony of freak-outs surrounding you.
The Emperor rules his own roost. He decides for himself alone what is worthy of his attention and what is not. The Emperor’s plans are unambiguously rooted in self-confidence and personal authority. Others may offer up guidance, but nobody else gets a vote.
Your life, your call.
It’s entirely up to you how to accomplish this feat. If you need to back off social media or step away from somebody else’s drama in order to maintain stability, do it without hesitation or guilt.
Remember, this flavor of self-directed authority is a practice, not an event. The sense of being centered and unflappable comes and goes, but becomes easier to maintain the more you do it.
Prioritizing your own connection as ALL that ultimately matters and leaving the universal forces to sort the rest helps us develop a stronger, more stable sense of inner peace.
The knowing that’s borne from such a solid, centered place always guides true.
This coming week, I’m seeing ample opportunity to practice a highly self-directed energy management. This doesn’t equate with permanent disengagement. It’s more about not stepping into any situation emotionally without finding your own footing first.
Love whomever you love. Care for the world! But before you get caught up in it all or act, understand a helpful contribution is best made from a position of strength. We become strong when we do well managing our personal energy first and foremost. It’s only under such circumstances you are in the position to offer anything of value, anyway.
No matter what you’re hearing (or not hearing) out there, tend to self first.
Are you feeling the fervor?
