“It’s one of the side effects of being a Tarot reader. I see people freaking the *$&# out over what’s happening or what’s not happening right this minute, right now, like the world’s ending if things don’t go the way they want. And I talk to them later and we realize, whatever it was, it just didn’t matter. Or it didn’t matter the way they thought it did. It ended up being better, or it ended up giving them something they needed. It gives you a different perspective.”
I was talking to my friend. Not being judgey. It’s really helpful to me, if you want to know the truth. It’s a lot easier to stay zen, when you see this dynamic over and over.
I try to force something to happen, no way, no how. NOT GONNA WORK!! I try to avoid it? It ends up in my lap. Maybe even years later. But when it does, enough has happened between the start and the end, I know there is more at work.
It happens when it’s supposed to. That fact: endlessly infuriating and endlessly comforting, all at the same time.

Jupiter and Saturn are retrograde presently, prompting us to revisit projects we’ve started but not finished. What’s ripe, or becoming ripe? What’s over-ripe, ready to be thrown out? Do this bit first, toss and purge, to make space for the new fruit to fully ripen.
I expect this week to contain both conflict and emotionality, ups and downs, since we’re leaning pretty heavily on the Swords and Cups in this weekly spread. But there are definitely lessons and clarifications on tap, courtesy what comes up through the swordplay. Think of irksome frustrations, crabby words or other bothersome incidents as instructive, especially as metaphorical for other issues in your life.
Monday, Passion Ignited – Page of Swords Rx: To get your creative fires burning, stop talking yourself out of it! Stop putting so damned many conditions on ideas. It kills the moment. It sucks the life out of the art. Drop the self-criticism and the “Debbie Downer” scripts aimed in the mirror. That dousing of your creative fires? It’s your own doing, Grasshopper. Which is wonderful news, because that also means, it’s in your hands, oh creative one.
Tuesday, Rejoice in Celebration – Three of Cups: Sweet. This one is a double-dose of advice to celebrate all that is good with your tribe. YOUR folks, your people, whomever they may be. The Three of Cups shows up on “Rejoice in Celebration”–the Psychic Tarot Oracle’s version of the Three of Cups! (What’s Neptune doing today?)
Wednesday, New Beginnings – Ace of Cups: Let fresh starts touch your heart. And let your heart, guide you in those fresh starts. No fear. Only love. Only love.
Thursday, Waiting Game – Five of Swords: I always think of Tarot Fives as growing pains, of one sort or another. Fives are ridden with conflict, but in truth, conflict is a gift. It allows for corrections, before problems become too big to be manageable. But then again, I pretty much count everything–including drawing breath–as a gift. So consider your source. Har!
[bctt tweet=”Conflict gives the gift of drawing attention to what needs to be adjusted.”]
Friday, Emotional Loss, Knight of Swords Rx: This combination screams, “Blessing in disguise” to me. Maybe VERY well disguised, I’ll give you that. And maybe upsetting and scary, too. But definitely, losses right now can be more about perception than net reality. As in, “Remember that thing I was so upset about? Yeah. I’m really glad it happened.”
Saturday, Base Chakra, King of Wands Rx: You know how in those little airline safety presentations, they tell you to put on your own oxygen mask first, before trying to help anybody else? That. Take care of your own basic needs, security and well being first, before looking to do the same for anyone else. It’s not a mark of selfishness. It’s a mark of smarts.
Sunday, Throat Chakra, Nine of Cups: Speak your truth today. Say what you really want to say. It brings contentment. I would expect especially nice results from expressing gratitude and thankfulness, too. Beautiful day for a heartfelt, loving conversation. So speak up!
Overview/Advice, Harmony – The Chariot Reversed: Don’t push or drive others this week. You go on your path. Others may follow or they may not. But they’ll do what they need to do. YOU do what you need to do.
Affirmation: Check Your Timing. As Shakespeare said, “Ripeness is all.” We get so wound up about what is to happen when. If it’s yuck, we want it done NOW. If it’s good, we want it here, NOW. If it’s scary, we want it either far away from us, or past us. So much of life is timing. Being in the right place, doing the right stuff.
And you know, we stress over timing. But if you get quiet and listen, you can stay in the flow. You can follow those little nudges and your timing will always be right.
I am telling myself, I’m in the perfect place for ME right now, because it perfectly represents where I am, how I’ve grown and how I need to grow. What you want but don’t have may not be a “no.” It may be a “not yet.”
This forecast features the Pagan Cat Tarot, with the Psychic Tarot Oracle to represent positions and the Creative Whack Pack for the affirmation. If you enjoy these forecasts, you’d probably like Dixie’s Book, Everyday Tarot Archives or better yet, a personal consultation.
Do you feel “ripening” in your life?
I need to add to this, sometimes people’s worlds DO change and forever. Not to minimize the times that is the case. More often it’s not. And even when it is, I would argue (probably unsuccessfully) that one lifetime is but a blip in the sea of existence and we do not understand everything makes up the flow of life and especially, the “why” bits. But regardless of whether or not that argument would fall on deaf ears, I believe it with my entire being.
