“If a man does not keep pace with his companions, perhaps it is because he hears a different drummer. Let him step to the music which he hears, however measured or far away.” –Henry David Thoreau
In a perfect example of Tarot talking directly to ME, I give to you today’s Tarot forecast. Ha!
We have the reversed Three of Wands (Sun in Aries) and the Seven of Wands (Mars in Leo). Associated with the Fire Element, Tarot wands are action-oriented. This combination suggests not waiting for others to “come around.” Stand alone if need be, still acting (Mars) with pride (Leo).
Being the freak that I am, I heavily relate to the concept of being negatively judged by those who have no understanding of who I am or why I make the decisions I do. I have never, ever, ever fit in. Not going to happen in this lifetime! I’d love to say, “There was a time this bothered me, but now…”
Except that isn’t true. Sometimes, it does bother. Most often, that depends on who it is coming from. Not always, though. And sometimes I find myself reacting even when I’m not getting hit. I’m reacting to old news. Duly noted. No need to be defensive. Just be.
Do what’s right by your own estimation, live consistently according to your deepest, truest convictions, and let the world catch up…or not. It’s kind of irrelevant. My path is my path, your path is your path. That isn’t proof one of us is wrong if they are not the same one. Heck, we could end up at the same destination. Or not. But the real mistake is trying to walk a path that’s not authentically yours.
Are you feeling this, friends?

Good morning, everyone!
And yes, I’m feeling it! No matter how I explain something, there are still people (family) who are going to point a finger at me. According to them, it’s all MY fault. (Even when they come around, and realize it isn’t, there are never any apologies.)
I get it that I’m a threat on some level. So, in a way, it’s a compliment.
(And I’m choosing to look at it that way!)
Have a great weekend, everybody!
Sounds like a good way to look at it, Kim. You go, girl!
“But the real mistake is trying to walk a path that’s not authentically yours.”
Truer words were never spoken. It took me decades to learn that, and another decade to unravel the havoc I’d wrought by not practicing it. I’m fond of saying that about 12 years ago, when I began to live in truth, I didn’t have baggage. I had a freight train. I’m happy to report the freight cars are all empty, and they have been detached one by one. Now, I am free.
For me, the Three of Wands reversed gives me a chance to linger longer at the shore and watch for the ships to return or just enjoy the view. The Seven of Wands is a chance to keep a healthy watch on my boundaries.
Thank you, Dixie, as always. :sun:
Very hard lesson to learn, I know firsthand, ThothReader. I love that interp for the Three of Wands, ThothReader. Betcha I’ll be swiping it!
Glad you are free. It’s a good place to be.
Oh yes indeed Dixie! So agree! Keep up the fab posts and I will continue to share!
Thank you, Ann.
:cat: Freak: a unique person with a twist of fate that is honored for their strength, honesty, and radiant joy emanating from their self-satisfied soul and being. “Seven of Wands indicates a struggle after initial satisfaction and fulfilment. This time, however, the struggle is about maintaining your position at the top while others compete and fight to achieve the same success and status that you have already achieved”. No struggle needed, as ThothReader so eloquently says. Power vs. Force – The Power of being yourself and bending and twisting with the energies are so much stronger than any force coming at you. The 7 of wands say you are a success and others are jealous. I say forgive them their trespasses (not having a love filter on their eyes) and bask in your joy of being your true authentic self and radiate out your peace and joy of your life. You can twist with the best of them, you twisted ones, and triumph, quietly, with joy!
Now if you pull the hermit card tomorrow, I will try not to fall on the floor!!
Love you!
Thank you, Joanna. How sweet!
I will be honest, I was expecting to see the Hermit tomorrow after you said that, but not this time. As you know, Tarot says what Tarot wants to say. Ha!
back atcha!
I swear, Dixie, reading this just confirms that in many ways, we are walking parallel paths. I’m revisiting – again – a situation that causes me great stress, and when I attempt to take my own path with it I get sidelined by the absolute *opposite* view point. This situation is completely against everything I was taught growing up and still believe; has nothing to do with my spiritual path. But it’s a constant burr in my ass, and I have very, VERY little control over how it is handled. It’s not technically “my” issue, but it impacts me on a regular basis.
Everything is pointing to me taking the stand I’ve tried to take repeatedly in the last year or so, and sticking to it. This is just further verification. And I thank you. :rose:
Much love on your path, Kris. I”m sure you’ll find it under the brush. :rose:
Whenever you use this deck it speaks of my daughter, especially if a wand is involved. SHE WILL NOT BE JUDGED – especially by her mother!
JUDGEMENT just another special service I provide, along with sarcasm-hehe.
AMAZING DIXIE!! You never cease to amaze me!
I had one of those “Sarcasm is just another service I offer” t-shirts once. I also provide clue-by-four services to my children. This is how I earned the nickname, “Reality Check Queen.”
I’ve been feeling this almost my whole life.
I’m also in the process of judging someone who talks to me about mindfulness, but uses drugs- and I don’t trust anyone who talks about that state, who also uses things like ecstasy. He’s digging deeper into drugs, and I don’t trust him.
