11/02/11: Calling Outside Help | Rev Knight Wands, Rev King Pentacles, 6 Wands

“All of us, at certain moments of our lives, need to take advice and to receive help from other people.” Alexis Carrel

daily-tarot-forecast

Tarot gives us the Knight of Wands inverted (Air in Fire), King of Pentacles inverted (Fire in Earth) and the Six of Wands (Jupiter in Leo). You don’t have to fight your way through life. You don’t have to take care of everybody.  You don’t cross the river alone. Recognition, success, positive outcomes are granted through cooperative effort. Be listening for good creative ideas, assistance getting the job done, and needed resources available to you now.

What you need is out there for you. You just have to be tuned in to recognize it.

Do you find a lot of support from others?

  1. At work, no. I work independently. As a matter of fact, when I’m on vacation or something no one can cover for me because they don’t know how to do half my job. At home/dixiblog/domains/afoolsjourney.com/public_html, I get a lot of support from Ox. My home/dixiblog/domains/afoolsjourney.com/public_htmllife is so much more streamlined now and it truly is a blessing for both of us to be able to support eachother in this way. Outside of that, I’m pretty much on my own. I’ve been debating whether this is working for me or not and if I like it.

  2. My daily forecast was all “you’ll be alone today with nobody giving a damn that you’re sad and in need” so I immediately began sending good vibes and just thankful emails for people to find when they start their day. I also was extra sweet to my husband, had everything efficient and correct for him so his trek from bed to work was smooth and gripe-free.

What surprised me is that while I have no clue whether my proactive actions will make a difference with others, it made a huge difference with me. Just doing something about it made my anxiety lessen and the sweet morning de-stressed me probably more than him.

So I’ve made a personal choice to put my personal power to creating happy mornings every day. I know sometimes things happen I can’t control, but the difference was just too huge to not see. I know it’s something I’ve been told 100 times and ignored (always, always, always) but the lesson is now learned.

By the way, Dixie, I’m very grateful for you using your time to reach out to everyone and share your wisdom for free. I’m very glad you’re in my life.

    1. Awww, thank you Garnet.

And what an AWESOME way to deal with feeling isolated or sad. Look to brighten someone else’s day. I love that! Brilliant. :lamp:

    2. You reminded me of this quote:

“I am a kind of paranoiac in reverse. I suspect people of plotting to make me happy”. -J.D. Salinger, writer (1919-2010)
