“It is better to keep your mouth closed and let people think you are a fool than to open it and remove all doubt.” Mark Twain
I’ve come to think of the reversed Knight of Swords as the “Keep your mouth shut” card. Because, well, a lot of the time, that seems to be what he’s saying. Don’t just run your mouth—be aware of the potential to over-communicate, be too detached, or just not be aware of the emotional impact of your words.
Be aware of the point you’re trying to make. Are you? That’s the question here.
And if you already ARE watching your mouth, maybe this Prince is arriving to remind you not to over-think what others are saying to you. Sometimes people can be cutting without intending, you know? Always consider the intent as you can see it. It matters.
Are you feeling the Knight of Swords?

LOL, that Mark Twain quote is one of my favorites. Unfortunately, I rarely heed the advice.
:bunny:
Hilarious and timely!!
I like the counterpoint you make in the last paragraph. Very important too.
