Wishy-washy Queen of Cups. She can be so much more…nebulous and teary than my Virgo would prefer! I do like her as a watersprite, though. She guards the stream—of emotion, of intuition, the flow. Tolkien wrote of Goldberry, pictured here, “represents the actual seasonal changes.” Pictured with the prominent dragonfly and butterfly, change is a notable theme.
And maybe that’s a good way to visualize the Queen of Cups. She looks over seasonal changes. We say goodbyes along with our hellos. We leave behind as we move toward. We end and begin. And this ever-changing cycle is closely connected to our heart energy.
Today, I think Goldberry the Queen of Cups would have us guard our hearts as we preside over the changing seasons in our lives. Give ourselves space and safety as we transform from one state to another. Honor the feelings that walk hand-in-hand with the comings and goings and be kind to all—including ourselves.

I am definitely at a changing of the seasons point in my life. I need to keep faith that after winter, spring always come, and along with it, new births. (Yes, plural!)
