What’s not working for you? Because the majority of this week seems to be about purging what isn’t working. You know. Like a cat walking across your weekly Tarot layout.
I’ll be honest. I advise that OTHER PEOPLE purge a lot more than I manage to accomplish myself. Does that make me a hypocrite? It’s so much easier to give advice than take it!
But really? I think it’s time…
It will lighten your load a lot, if you clean out the closets, both literally and metaphorically. If you’re feeling stuck, particularly, letting go of old junk, which holds old energy, will do wonders. If it’s overwhelming, don’t worry. Just do a little bit at a time and you’ll be surprised at how much of a difference it makes.
So let’s get our work gloves on here and get busy with the week, shall we?
Monday, Passion Ignited – Knight of Wands: A day full of joy and excitement! I like this one. It may be romantic, creative or just plain doing what you love to do. But it’s clearly a day to get excited. Enjoy it! There are challenges coming so make the most of this.
Tuesday, Deception & Envy – Eight of Pentacles reversed: Jealous coworkers? Beware. Strained partnerships? Watch for some truth-bending or plain ol’ jealousy coming into play. If something isn’t quite working, look to jealousy as potential cause. Don’t hold on to it. Just be aware of it, as a factor.
Wednesday, Moving on – The Emperor: One word here–boundaries. Set (and enforce) them to move ahead. Ignore them at your own peril. M’kay?
Thursday, Material Harvest – The Tower reversed: Finances may take a hit, but not the end of the world. Whatever is crumbling down, is already broken. Denying it doesn’t fix it. You have a chance to fix it up before it reaches critical mass. I’d advise doing just that.
Friday, Material & Spiritual Prosperity – Nine of Wands reversed: Perseverance is a virtue and sometimes, damn useful. Bull-headedness? Meh, not so much. Ask for help if you need it. And as Kenny Rogers said, “Know when to hold ’em, know when to fold ’em.” You’ll get further realizing that sometimes, stepping back is the best course of moving forward.
Saturday, Disruption – The Empress reversed: No smothering! This looks like mommy time (or a “mommy attitude”) run amok. Don’t be overly (or uninvitedly) parental to the people around you, unless, you know, you’re actually the parent. On the other hand, someone suffering an emotional blow or setback may require more “mothering” energy than normal. Just be sensitive to how you are connecting to others and whether or not you’re coming across as parental.
Sunday, Conflict & Defeat – Four of Wands reversed: Today is all about safety zones. If you don’t have one or cannot provide it for someone else, it’s…just sad. That’s all. Honor the need for safe space. Appreciate those who offer it to you, and treat it as sacred space whatever safe harbor you offer to someone else. Whatever you do, absolutely do not violate another’s trust. Trust transgressions made today will not be easily forgotten.
Overview/Advice – Three of Cups reversed: Make your own decisions. Friends are the bomb, no doubt! But live your own life. You’re the one who has to tolerate the consequences of your actions.
Affirmation, Clear Your Space – Archangel Jophiel: “Get rid of clutter, clear the energy around you, and use feng shui.” The overall theme I’m seeing this week is on letting go of what is not working. It’s clearing your space to make way for the new–figuratively, sure, but also literally. Clearing the decks is essential. This is not always an easy or fun process, but it is always a necessary one.
Do you need a good purge?

Very timely. I work all day on Monday, but Tuesday is a family meeting. My son moved home/dixiblog/domains/afoolsjourney.com/public_html and he is a pig, and deception is one of his many talents. I’m sick of cleaning up after him when I’m working 6 days a week and he’s living here for free. So he’s going to start doing his share or he is going to have to pay rent…or he can move out. I’m pretty much done with it. Thank you for the verification!!
Sorry to hear of the stress, Kristine! Good luck with your work.
LOVED seeing your cat walking across this reading. The coloring is so similar to a cat I once had… does yours have a tail? Mine did not. Just wondering, so I can complete the picture in my head. If your cat does NOT have a tail, then this was definitely a hello from MY cat too! Best wishes!
She does have a tail. But you can still count it as a “hello” if you want.
