My husband and I play Dungeons and Dragons on the computer together.
Some of the projectile weapons in the game have an enhancement called “Precise Shot.” That means the shot hits only who it’s aimed at. No collateral damage.
It’s the kind of thing you may not think about, before you run into that. But not hitting anybody but who you’re aiming at often has a lot of advantages.
That would be handy in real life.
This coming week? We could use some precise shot on our words.

Monday, Eight of Pentacles: Just keep pluggin’ and do your thing. Think progress, not completion. One step at a time. A little here, a little more, a little more is how it gets done so keep hammering, slow and sure.
Tuesday, Wheel of Fortune rx: What seems like a bad break may not be. Go with the flow and accept both what looks good and what looks not good as just part of the cycle. Don’t fixate on a single situation thinking it must work out a certain way for your world to feel “okay.” Understand this is the way the world flows. Just roll with it, man.
Wednesday, Four of Swords: It’s okay to take a breather. The world will not implode if you take the night off. Plan some recoup time today and it will serve you well.
Thursday, Queen of Swords: Be judicious with your words and be very clear. Carefully chosen words will keep you from implying more than you mean to say. Don’t script for others. But to make your words most effective, be sparing with them. That will help you reach your objectives.
Friday, Seven of Pentacles: Recognize where you are in the bigger cycle. The progress you’ve been making adds up and factors are lining up. We’re at a waiting phase, while seeds gestate.
Saturday, Knight of Swords rx: Tendency to blurt, speak impulsive. Understand people may be over communicative in a number of ways, so be ready to step back to keep yourself centered. Not a great day for signing contracts so don’t be in a hurry. Let it rest before finalizing.
Sunday, King of Swords rx: Let the dust settle before diving into action. May have urges to “do something” but you’d be better advise to go slow and easy.
Overview/Advice, Three of Wands: The week in general feels like there’s a lot of gestation, n0t culmination. So be patient, with yourself and circumstances. Continue to expect things to work out fine and they are, so long as you stay out of the way. Staying out of the way is your job right now.
Affirmation: Everything I touch is a success. While it may not initially feel this way, you can see success if you take a longer view. If you see yourself as here for the experience, the learning and the joy, then everything you look at will show itself in that context. Even if the experience is very negative, it can still contribute to your success in many ways. Just like someone coming out of a bad relationship is more focused than ever on having a better relationship the next time around (and value it much more as well).
“I am where I am. It’s fine where I’m am. I’m doing what I need to be and I’m learning what I need to be learning. All is well.”
That attitude will serve you well. Take your time. Don’t be in a hurry to respond or fight. Step back, take care of yourself and take your time. That will move you through the week intact and you’ll be pleased to realize you’ve made some progress even if it didn’t feel like it at the time.
