“If you keep telling yourself the exact same stories about this, you’ll keep having the exact same feelings.”
I heard myself saying this to a friend recently. And like most of my best advice, it’s just as (annoyingly) applicable to the me as to the recipient! Maybe moreso, but I’m not gonna quibble either way.
STORIES matter, whether or not they ever find their way out of our mouths.
We craft and evaluate our own stories according to criteria that is better at keeping us stuck than moving us upward and onward. We try to accurately capture the feelings at the time, deepening that emotional groove with each recounting. We list and weigh facts as objectively as we can muster. We may look to persuade, presenting our cases and seeking agreement for our rightness or soundness of reasoning. I get it. It’s human nature and it’s what we have been taught is appropriate in recounting stories.
But you know what? If your stories are very faithful reruns of events you didn’t like, that is EXACTLY the energy you are activating each time that story comes to mind. That energy grows with your focus. Is that really where you want to go?
But what if you rewrote your stories? What we want and what we don’t want in any situation show use the polarities of every subject. Rather than picking up the “don’t want” end and running with it, justifying that repetition because it seems a more “true” version of events, why not shift your focus to only the “wanted” end. That side of the coin is just as real and you can work with it. It also feels a hell of a lot better.
Pretend for a minute that all is well–perfect actually, because it kind of is. Pretend that the Universe works as it should–because honesty, it does. Imagine that it’s not your job to extract any specific outcome, but simply to amplify energy you want in your life courtesy focus, using your feelings as guide to how you’re doing. Because yes, that is exactly how it works.
Keep a check on your stories. Experiment with cleaning them up to better reflect what you want to live instead of what you don’t want to repeat. Right now is a great time to rewrite stories and give them happier endings.

Oh man. The energy out in the wild has been wonky as Hell, huh? CHARGED. Electric and concentrated and driven. And most of all? Not so easy to predict, in terms out specific outcomes, as in where this rocket is going to light in the end. So don’t.
Here’s my weekly forecast to help give you grounding amidst the buzz.
Tarot Forecast (Video Transcript)
Mayday! Mayday! Incoming Tarot forecast!
Hey. This is Dixie from a fool’s journey. I am here to bring to you the tarot forecast, May 1st through 7th, 2017.
So, just gonna hop right in there. And see what we get.
Okay. Starting off the week, uhhhh. I want to say, I have a feeling of second guessing choices and decisions. Like we’re not, folks are not certain that they’re making a good call. I mean, there’s an orientation that’s very clearly towards the future.
But the emotional tenor of the choices that we’re making or how we’re seeing things play out is a little uncomfortable.
Just going into the beginning of the week. Moving in, I would advise you not to overdo the what-if scenarios. Like well, what if this happens and then that happens and then what if this, you know, if this happens and then that happens and…uh huh. Huh uh. That’s not gonna help.
We’ve got the four of cups, reversed. So don’t go arrrgghh, well you know, this and then this and then this, duttutututu. Because you know that’s how it works out anyway. It never is!
And don’t make everything about, well what’s the greater lesson. Just…sigh. Just look to lock in on what’s important to you and let go of the DETAILS about how that happens or if other people are gonna respect it or if it’s gonna dit-tit-dit-ti-tuh.
Like if setting certain boundaries is very important to you, then set the boundaries and stick to them. If getting along is very important to you, then work to get along and let go of the stuff that doesn’t serve that purpose.
The thing is, focus on the goal, not on the means to get there. Okay? If you do that, the week should go pretty well for you.

And for the take-home, for a take home, advice/overview, message…I have got the seven of pentacles reversed.
What I want to tell you is that not everything you see is going to have a natural progression to what you, where you think it’s going.
So this predicting the future, that everybody’s doing like, “Oh my gosh. We’re on the road to disaster!” Is not helping. And it’s not accurate! More importantly.
So roll it back and keep your focus in the microcosm, not the macrocosm this week and in terms of where you put your emotional energy and I expect it to go pretty well for you.
I hope that helps. Let me know if it works out for you or if these forecasts are helpful because I need to know whether or not I can keep doing them.
Okay? Take care, peace out from Dixie. Mmmmmmmm. The Zen Goddess. Bye-bye!
Think my hair could be bigger? Because I think my hair could be bigger. It was pretty big right after I fixed it. And then, like, five minutes later, kind of went whoosh.
