Sometimes, I get all wound up about something I feel like I need to solve now-now.
It can be a small thing or not. It can be important or not. But because I’ve managed to tap into some vein or another of something I have been concerned about, something feels bigger than it is.
When that happens, I find it helpful to step back and tend to whatever else is in the background. Self-care. Food. Shelter. Checking in with my people. Taking care of details and planning ahead for basic needs. Streamline and simplify.
It’s a way to be productive without tapping into whatever I need to step back and let sort.
This is the sort of approach I’m thinking for the next few days.
Next Week in Tarot
Outlook is the Knight of Swords with advice coming from the Empress, pictured here from my well-loved Legacy of the Divine.
Understanding, knowledge and just clarity in general are going to be hard to snag and probably fast-morphing this week. “The truth” isn’t so much coming across as an absolute as a moving target.
Like a picture that’s loading up but not fully displayed, what you see right this minute is less than what you’ll see a minute from now.
So what to do in such conditions? You get creative. You improvise. You see to it your own needs are met. You take a moment to pause, reflect, and attune, first to self and secondly those in your charge. You look in on those near and dear to you.
The Empress is the Tarot’s ultimate mother, after all. And what do mothers do? Because anything “motherly” would probably be helpful this week:
- Love
- Cook
- Sleep
- Create
- Comfort
- Advise
- Respect
- Cheer
- Support
- Plan
- Consider
Any and everything motherly will keep you in a productive, healthy space while waiting for the signals to settle down into a solid green light. And expect to get some clarity around the “now-now” feelings you’ve had. You’ll be glad you spent the time looking after yourself and those you care about instead of driving yourself crazy. Really. Just a hunch.
Be well, friends!
