High Priestess Reversed: Whoa, Nellie!

You’ve noticed it’s eclipse season, right? The people I’ve been talking to have sure been noticing!

Now, I’m not an astrologer and I don’t play one on the internet. But if your life has been feeling kind of crunchy, feel free to blame the skies. Totally legit here.

And the cards for next week are emphasizing that point, along with some (very helpful) advice about how to manage if we’ve got the good sense to listen.

Next Week in Tarot

For outlook, we have The High Priestess reversed.  Advice this week is The Hanged Man. These cards are from the colorful Crystal Visions Tarot–a lovely gift I received from one of my people recently. Yay!

Now, this combo speaks very clearly. Not sure if you’re going to like what it says, mind you. But I give you what I get here. That’s always the deal. So…

Expect to feel an undeniable urge (or maybe plural, as in “urges”) to DO SOMETHING about a problem, a situation, or condition you’re not pleased about. Moreover, expect people around you may largely be operating under the same general vibe.

This is a “putting out fires” mentality. “We’ve got to do something now…” is more or less how it goes. There is a drive to get conditions in hand somehow, impact the outside world through action.

At the same time, specifically what is best to do here won’t be clear.  That’s because the antsiness is not some kind of sign to take action.

See, our Seer, the lovely Priestess, is still reversed. While there may be some truth in the overall assessment of what’s what, the full picture is not yet revealed. So the drive to act, dramatically and right now, is born from anxiety, not divine inspiration.

Advice is also clear when the Hanged Man is on deck. Wait! Have faith. Visualize a positive outcome. Pray if you’re so inclined, or feel free to do a little magic work for if that’s your thing.

Just whatever you do, don’t try to write the script of exactly how it’s all resolved. Don’t try to force anything, even through indirect means like prayer or magic, because control-freaking this will make a bigger mess. Instead, call upon some faith in the larger Universe because that’s what the Hanged Man is all about.

The vibe overall feels edgy and I’m sorry. That’s not fun. But the answer to softening any edge isn’t external. Relief comes via reigning in your thinking.

Soothe yourself. Seek peace and reach for your center. Let go of what you cannot control–almost everything, if we’re being honest–and allow yourself to manage what you can control: where you focus attention.

Step back, breathe, and stabilize your own damn self. The rest works itself out. This is the path.
