This Hierophant is the ultimate metaphor for the establishment: a television set! It’s what’s broadcast as manifest truth, the core of orthodoxy (even when the orthodoxy consists of approved unorthodoxy).
It makes me ask, what are you accepting as truth? What channels do you tune in to? Does the broadcast build you up or tear you down? Do you agree with the programming schedule?
If it doesn’t work for you, for God’s sake, switch the station! Or better yet, create your own program. While the How-to shows probably have plenty to offer, no expert need override your inner expert. You know? Always take it only so far as it’s helpful, brain fully engaged. That’s how you get the most out of it.
