I got a reminder this week to pay attention to what sort of energy I consume. Enough consumption and you become saturated. Eventually, you find yourself leaking some of that same energy and getting it on other people in the process.
That’s not who I am. That’s not who I want to be.
You’d think I’d be expert at following my own advice by now, but I’m just as human as the next gal. The good news is that I caught it quickly and was able to turn it around. It felt SO MUCH better!
I have said forever and a day: if you need the world to cooperate with you to be happy, you’re screwed. Not going to happen. You do have control over yourself and your perspective, however. It’s a big world. Decide where you want to place your focus.
Stay vigilant, friends. Whatever energy you’re most consuming will impact your sense of reality.
Next Week in the Cards
For outlook, we have the Four of Pentacles. Advice comes in as the Nine of Pentacles–these cards are from the Star Tarot Deck.
I can’t tell you how happy I was to see this card as the outlook.
Tarot fours denote stability–think the four legs under a table. Sometimes you’ll get this card in the face of anxiety, particularly over financial or physical matters (Pentacles). With or without the worry factor in place though, an underlying, stable energy is depicted. So while the coming week may or may not feature anxiety, the world will not fall apart. That’s good to know!
The Nine of Pentacles is also an interesting draw for advice. This card often refers to education, formal or otherwise.
The woman pictured in the Nine is a person of learning and refinement. She overcomes her baser (animalistic) instincts to advance her own growth. Hers is an utterly personal endeavor, not collective. She doesn’t rely on force to overpower. Instead, rewards come to her as a result of a kind, gentle and loving stance.
Next week, be open to learning and new perspective. Don’t try to force personal conclusions onto unwilling recipients. The Nine of Pentacles doesn’t suggest we school others. Following her advice would have us leaning into a gentle, kind and observant stance with the intention of self-improvement. That’s always an achievable goal.
