Everyday Tarot, 07/28/11: Life After Death, Tarot Style

Today’s Tarot forecast was just Death—Geez Louise. Death…I mean, c’mon! I’ve heard myself talk about the importance of letting go and how it leaves us better off and yada yada until I’m about ready to barf myself. Screw “Pollyanna loves growth opportunities” because this chick is not in the mood.

Just give me something helpful, encouraging or at least useful, Tarot. That’s what I am looking for here. So I asked, “What can we expect after the Death?” Ahhh—the Six of Wands! Okay. That I can work with.

The decay is beyond repair—understand, you could be in the same place, with the same people, even doing mostly the same things when it’s all said and done, (or not). But regardless of appearances, whatever you had, the way you had it, is O-V-E-R, over. Not a damn thing will change that. If something meaningful to you has been decimated, get busy rebuilding something new on the spot, okay? The sooner, the better. Because it’s not coming back the way it was.

The good news? The transformations, what you learn now–and yes, how you grow as a result–becomes a crowning achievement for you. Sure, you had support getting there. But you did the heavy lifting and there’s no reason not to acknowledge yourself for it. Other people sure do.

You feeling this? How are y’all faring out there?

  1. “…get busy rebuilding something new on the spot, okay? The sooner, the better.”

That is such good advice. So many are desolated when their lifestyle is under threat or diminished. On the other hand we see people whose lives were nearly destroyed bu unforeseen natural disasters who do exactly what you suggest.

    Ray

  2. You feeling this? I’m feeling EXACTLY this.

How are y’all faring out there? Baby steps out of bed, baby steps to the shower, baby steps to the car, baby steps to work, baby steps through life. :umbrella: :rainbow: :umbrella:

  3. Yep,what Josi said, plus baby-steps into the person I really want to be, and know I am destined to be!Moving forward with confidence, and with baby-steps!

  4. “I’ve heard myself talk about the importance of letting go and how it leaves us better off and yada yada until I’m about ready to barf myself. Screw “Pollyanna loves growth opportunities” because this chick is not in the mood.”

Dixie, I’ve been getting the same messages, and I feel exactly the same way! Enough!!!
Thanks for the message on what to do! Far more useful than the yada yada.

What I’m doing to change is great, but results have not been forthcoming as quickly as I need them to, considering my state of mind.
    So! On to another tack.

  5. Baby steps. I like it. I’ll do that today.

I agreed to give up something that was holding me down and strangling me. As soon as I made it clear she was going to work with someone else, she freaked, got her stuff together and is working her butt off to convince me to keep her.

It’s too late. She’s already been replaced. I trained her new caller. Her caller’s the one who has been calling for her for two weeks. I’ve been the go-between so she doesn’t fully realize this. I was planning to let her know this weekend.

She did everything I recommended she do … after I gave up and cut the strings. I have replaced her … but she’s fighting to linger and is becoming quite attractive due to her improvements.

    Death … Done.

  6. Wow… truer words hath never been spoken. I have been communicating with an ex-lover the past few days. This goes in cycles, very destructive cycles (destructive to me). I see through things he says now and I realize I don’t want him anymore and I will never be with him by *my* choice. I think he thinks he could convince me to start something up with him at his whim, but guess what? I’m looking for someone who is crazy about me and really cares for me and not some lukewarm “passion” that arises when he is lonely!

I SECOND THAT! I am sick to “DEATH” of the umpteen-million messages of loss and letting go that the Tarot has been spewing out lately. Like a freakin’ broken record. I KNOW ALREADY!

I’ve cleaned out so much “junk” and thrown away so many bottles of “expired Mayo” that I’m on the edge of just throwing out random stuff because there isn’t much left!

But ok. So it’s back to scraping around in the dark corners to see what else might be lurking that is past its expiration date. Because yeah… I probably missed something. (sigh)
