Five of Pentacles: Accessing Solutions

Used to be, when I had a problem of some sort, I’d dedicate massive amounts of attention (read: obsession) to coming up with a solution. Most pronounced when I was feeling the weight of the problem closing in on me.

After all, we learn that we just need to “work harder” and “try more” to fix things, right?

At this point in my life, though, I think that’s the hard way to do it. I’ve learned that the vibe of a problem is definitely related to the solution, but it’s not on the same channel. I can tune in and get inspiration that gives me helpful, workable solutions but that never happens when I’m neck-deep in freaking out.

Instead, it comes so much more effectively when I can step back and clear my head a little. A little thing somebody says, a spark of an idea, something clicks inside me when I’m not poring over the issue. If I’m saturated in worry, I can never hear it. I have to step back or it doesn’t work.

Are you feeling some kind of crunch or pressure to cope? Maybe it’s time or money that isn’t is sufficient supply. Maybe it’s a health issue or personal relationship that is currently getting under your skin. It could be anything but at the moment, leaving it as-is seems untenable.

Right now, many are feeling an air of urgency to get something “fixed” once and for all, combined with no idea of to how to go about it. This is an understandably uncomfortable combination.

But as is so often the case, the cards have a little advice.

Next Week in Tarot

five of pentacles ace of swords

For the outlook this week, we have a friendlier-looking-than-most version of the Five of Pentacles. Advice comes in via the Ace of Swords. These cards are from the beautiful Star Tarot Deck.

While this image is a softer version of the Five of Pentacles than we usually see, the feel of this card’s vibe is harsh and cold. There’s usually a sense of isolation and sometimes loneliness weighing down when this card shows up. However, this card also shows up when there IS help available for the asking. Here, we just see the man’s loyal, furry companion by his side. But for many of us, those helpers come in human form as well.

As far as advice, the Ace of Swords gives us something to hold on to when we’re feeling overwhelmed and left out in the cold. It’s a single though, an objective. The Ace of Swords is the seed of a workable plan. It’s not the whole plan, mind you. When you see this Ace, you won’t have it all figured out by a long shot. What you will have, however, as a workable starting point.

This ace can manifest as a single spot of clarity amidst confusion, an overriding objective or mission to guide the way, or just the very first step to take right now. You won’t see the entire path and the details beyond the start are likely to be fuzzy if visible at all. But you will have a clear, understandable and workable place to start. And that’s really all you need here.

This coming week, don’t freak out if you find yourself feeling isolated or left out okay? Seek out emotional support if you need it, because it is available. And look for the “Ace of Swords” idea to help you shift to a better place. That one spark of inspiration, that single idea, the beginning of plan–this is the Ace of Swords personified in your life–this is all you need to begin forward motion.

Are you feeling “out in the cold?” If you are, start looking for your own Ace of Swords to help you find your way back to warmth and comfort.

As always, reach out directly if you’d like to set up a personal consultation.
