The King of Pentacles or “Prince of the Chariot of Earth” is associated with Fire in Earth. He’s a very fatherly sort, and likes to look after and provide for his kingdom. He tends to their physical needs the way the King of Cups attends to emotional needs. He’s solid and steadfast and true. In a word, he’s grounding.
That’s why I like to have my husband with me, when I’m around my family. He’s my King of Pentacles. I’ve had a very hard time with my family and while it’s generally okay now, I’m not beyond getting triggered. I feel more stable when I’m with him, and if something happens that might throw me off balance (as sometimes does), having him there makes it easier. I know he loves me, and will look out for me if I start to lose footing. He’s my safety net.

I wish. I am my own safety net for the moment. I totally can relate to the concept of having that person who is really there for you. It is amazing the difference it makes in your life. I have a great appreciation for that person when he shows up now… with doing it all myself… Yet I am working my inner strength and doing okay with it.
