Be careful what you wish for. You may get it. –English Proverb
After all, the grass is not always greener. It just looks that way from the other side of the fence. So why haven’t you manifested yourself a prettier lawn, grasshopper?!?
Today’s Tarot Forecast is the inverted Nine of Cups, or “Lord of Material Happiness,” associated with Jupiter in Pisces. Sometimes known as “The Wish Card,” it’s all about big (Jupiter) dreams (Pisces) coming to life! In the suit of cups (Emotion), we’re definitely talking wishes near and dear to your heart. Inverted, I’d say it’s not quite there yet, or something’s in the way. Uh oh!
I’ve studied the Law of Attraction. One of the first things I noticed is that despite the invariably happy, shiny, feel-good copy, it doesn’t take long to start feeling like a total, energetically-challenged loser! After all, if your energy was so damn clean and pure, wouldn’t you already have produced what you wanted? What’s wrong with you, anyway?
Making matters worse, realizing you feel crummy, fear sets in that feeling crummy about not already having your dreams in place makes it less likely you’ll manifest greatness. Feeling lack vibrates lack, which attracts more lack. Talk about a catch-22!
And yet you are supposed to be emotionally invested in the dreams, because that emotional power is what fuels the creation. Except the more you care, the bigger deal it is you’re doing without. So what’s a potential manifesting fool to do?
The success in manifesting I’ve personally found comes from finding the sweet spot—it’s a very light touch. If there’s an air of poverty or neediness underfoot, I couldn’t manifest myself fifty cents! I also have to look upon myself kindly during the process. If I don’t feel like I deserve goodness, I don’t get it. If it doesn’t seem possible for me, it remains impossible. So there is a belief factor tied in.
The secret is feeling the essence of what I’m looking for in my everyday life, coupled with a “Wouldn’t it be nice if…” attitude about more. It feels light and pleasant and fun. Thinking I’d like a nicer car, I ask myself, “Why?” Well, I’d appreciate the dependability and comfort of riding in a nicer vehicle. But before the new car shows up—and it takes time for it to show up—I can maximize my appreciation for what I’m driving, you know? I can try to make it more comfortable and dependable, effectively upping my vibration in those areas. That plugs me in to a whole different energy stream.
If you don’t feel like you already have some of the essence, ask yourself what you’d hope to get from the manifesting. Rewarding relationships that feed you? Comfort and convenience? Freedom? Look for opportunities to feel those blessings in the form they already exist in your life however humble, and add where they are scarce. This isn’t “settling” for less than what you want. It’s wielding an insanely powerful vibrational pattern to achieve your ends: gratitude.
Gratitude turns up your vibration like nobodies business! The faster you vibrate, the quicker and easier thought forms turn into physical forms. So let go of the doldrums over “not quite” being there; it’s not the house or the car that will make you happy anyway, but the feelings you associate with the house or the car you’re looking for. That you can begin building now. Start noticing how much of what you want you can access right this minute though gratitude. It’s your golden ticket to even green grass.
How’s your luck with manifesting?

I’m excellent at manifesting material stuff. Anything material I’ve needed, just fell in my lap. Sometime ago I realized was because I’d make a wish, let it go, then was perfectly willing to pay the cash to buy it. Except I never had to spend a cent, as soon as I was ready to buy it, whatever it was I’d wished for, just appeared. But I have not been so good at manifesting the other stuff I want very badly. This post helps! I’d been feeling very frustrated about the catch-22 aspect you mention. Thanks!
Marly, I know exactly what you mean about “wish and let go” thing. When I’ve manifested something, that’s pretty much how it’s been, like floating a little thought out there and then not worrying about how it’s going to come back to me.

“wishing, dreaming & wanting” is easy “letting go” – NOT SO MUCH!
I need to spend more time being grateful.
Thanks Dixie, another great reading. I’m still a little dehydrated from the other day hahaha!
I think you’ve come a very long way in letting go, CancerMom.

Dixie who are you and what are you doing in my life? I struggled with this very thing yesterday, to the point of re-watching the movie BIG FISH last night. I realized if you tell a lie enough times you become the lie, which then becomes your own personal truth. So if it works with a lie, well then it should work with a dream too, shouldn’t it? When my first husband cheated I prayed and meditated to have him return home/dixiblog/domains/afoolsjourney.com/public_html to me, after 18 months I stopped asking and just asked for what was best for me. He is still gone, and I am glad cause better things are happening. But is it because I am imagining/working for better or is it cause it really wasn’t meant to be? I mean did I give up too soon, or not soon enough. 18 months might seem like a long time in our human minds, but in the universe’s mind it might be a split second.

moozie, we’ve all got the free will thing. I don’t believe you can “manifest” another person’s behavior any more than they can manifest away your own free will. To me, we’re creating our own lives every day. So if it took you 18 months to decide to let go, then it’s neither too long or too short. It’s just right, because that’s how long it took!
My personal opinion is that relationships end when people’s vibrations get too far disconnected for too long–like the vibrational match is no longer there. You can linger after the fact, but it’s definitely work holding on to a mismatched vibe. When I find myself struggling and hurting over a relationship repeatedly, that’s my clue. Joy is the best compass I’ve found.
I you!!! Do you think it is possible for two people's vibrations to never disconnect no matter how much time/distance has passed?
♥ you too!
I’m going to write you a post, moozie.
