“Loss is nothing else but change, and change is Nature’s delight.” Marcus Aurelius
Today’s Tarot is the Three of Swords (Saturn in Libra) and the reversed Queen of Wands (Water of Fire). Makes me think of the recent Fishy Moon Magic, Three of Swords insistent on blessing my batch of psychic oil! Not good or bad, I remind myself. Maybe easy or hard sometimes, but definitely not good or bad. It’s what you do with it, man!
A loss can force us to redefine success. It undoubtedly forces us to redefine are worldview. Here, adjusting to loss also means giving up control or maybe it’s just the illusion of control that slipped away. Regardless, I always find comfort in the notion that losses are part of the natural order, where everything happens just as it should. It can sting sometimes, but the sting is usually short-lived and whatever’s gone is because it was time for it to be gone.
Don’t bother trying to fight it; what’s done is all over but the grief. Express any sadness as you see fit, but don’t use it as impetus to control-freak everything remaining. Just acknowledge, accept and let it go. Understand, this doesn’t happen because you did something “wrong.” It’s part of living. Then you can redefine your now to incorporate what you’ve learned and lived.
You had any losses to contend with recently?
