It’s funny. I expect the adjustments I’ve made in the face of what’s upright now are far, far less than what’s been required for most. Because of the life I have already, amendments were minimal.
I have worked at home for decades and seldom venture out. I already avoid most people, if we’re being honest about it. Amazon prime is officially one of my spirit animals.
“This shouldn’t be that big of a deal for me.” That’s what I keep telling myself.
I don’t always listen to myself, though.
While the world has taken on surreal hues, I can’t decide if I’m comforted or freaked out all the things people are doing to manage, from an individual level all the way up to globally. I guess there’s no rule you cannot feel more than one thing at the same time.
I can tell you one thing, though: “Being a part of history” is damned overrated!
This brings me to next week’s cards, man, because they fit this mood perfectly.
Next Week in Tarot
From the Star Tarot deck for outlook, we have The Chariot reversed, with advice being Strength. It’s not escaped my attention that these are both Major Arcana cards. Normally, majors point to more intense situations with longer-lasting impact.
The coming week has something of a “running around in circles” feel to it. Potentially intense effort to make progress, “get somewhere,” but no significant ground gained.
I wouldn’t push hard on anything, because frankly all it looks to be doing is wearing people out. Think marathon, not sprint.
Instead, Strength has simple advice: stand firm. Gentle but persistent holding fast to your plan. No compromise is necessary, but neither are dramatic (or desparate) measures. Strength always advises a gently-but-steady consistency over brute force.e
Keep up on those “good ideas” intentions. Maintain your routines. Mediation is a great practice to award “routine” status. Eat well and get plenty of rest. Do everything you can to stay strong and clear because it makes everything else either. Embody the strength card here and it WILL make a difference.
Take care of yourself and be as kind as you can to everyone you interact with. You cannot see the emotional burden others carry. Beyond that, though? Be kind to yourself. Kindness is always the most effective when you start in the mirror and work your way out.
Stay safe and sane out there, friends!
p.s. I am offering phone, email or video personal sessions. Even if you’re dealing with financial issues due to the craziness in the world, reach out and we’ll work something out. ♥
