We’ve been on the whole purging/cleaning out space topic around here for some time now. While I haven’t hit the task with the full force of my abilities, I have been slooooooowly, gradually attacking the buildup of old “stuff” (physically, which in turn releases it energetically) as I go about the course of my everyday life.
I think this is a fine, manageable way to approach the question. My Virgo sometimes wants to nitpick, but if I can attack individual trees that are out of place, eventually the entire forest of out of place trees will be razed, you know?
Today’s Tarot forecast is the Ace of Pentacles or Root of the Powers of Earth, associated with (duh) the Earth element. You’ll see this card often at the beginning of a new venture as it’s manifesting on the material plane—sometimes a new job or even a new baby is announced by the Ace of Pentacles. It’s all about the physical realities—and I can’t help but think that last night’s New Moon in Virgo would approve of the sparkling dish.
The Ace of Pentacles reminds me that all journeys begin with that eventful, single step. Take the step! Whatever it is you’re doing, just get started. Don’t worry about if it’s the biggest or straightest or most eventful step you can take. Just take one. It’s enough.

YES, we’re so getting started as today is the first step down a path of physical realities regarding my mom.
My mom has a form of blood cancer, Multiple Myeloma, the doctors have been watching her for 2 1/2 years while it was in a “smoldering” stage. As of last week it’s no longer smoldering & treatment needs to be started. Today is our first appointment as we head down this path.
I wasn’t going to post anything about this but then I saw today’s Tarot & knew it was ok, plus I know all of you will send loving & healing vibes our way & we appreciate them a great deal.
We aren’t stressing about this because we knew there’d be a day when treatment was needed & what I’ve disliked is the waiting. She has a wonderful doctor & his staff is phenomenal, the right amount of hand holding for her & very informative for me. She has great insurance & she doesn’t have work to keep food on the table so she can rest when necessary. This type of cancer doesn’t require typical chemo so she’ll be spared some of the typical side effects. Going into this with a good frame of mind is part of the battle and we’re all ready to battle.
This is a GREAT card for today because the path we’re headed down is about CLEANING & PURGING (the bad cells in her blood) & headed toward SPARKLING!

Cancer Mom – it’s quite a journey you are about to embark on. I went through it 20 years ago with my own mother. I swear to you, it was the hardest thing I’ve had to do, but it was also the best gift of my entire life. It’s difficult at times to see the gift during the darkest days.

@Cancermom, What a fabulous attitude! It’s harder for things to go wrong when you go into it with that strength of purpose and planning.
@Dixie, Great card. I survived and am putting into motion things planned in words. Whatever happens this week, I’m at least moving forward cleaner and more purified (fire does that, ya know).
Take that step…hell yeah! I’m on the road, finally, to doing what I want to do with the rest of my life. Bring it on!

I like the idea of taking this task of physical clearing slowly and gently. You had mentioned that concept before, and it helped me, because the job can seem stressful.
So I thought, I don’t have to be in a frantic rush. I can try to actually enjoy the process… Then I actually got more done. But that was a paradigm shifting concept for me.
