One of the reasons the older, wiser me pulls back in assuming motivation for behaviors came from recognizing how often those assumptions are completely off-base.
Human beings are fabulously complicated creatures. An endless assortment of thoughts, beliefs and perceptions stream through an individual’s consciousness. Personal definition of reality is unavoidably colored by past experience and current state of mind. So how on Earth could I realistically expect to figure this out for someone else? I can barely do so for myself!
I may have ideas or suspicions. And some of those might even be right. Fair enough.
But I care a whole lot less about being right than being happy. So every time I can manage it, I opt to assume the best. I look for the explanations that I am happiest with. I don’t care if my guesstimations are right or not. I just care if I end up feeling better or not. My job is to take care of my own energy–nobody else’s.
The past few weeks have featured a widespread tension, with the overall atmosphere feeling more and more wound up. It was less about agreed-upon reality than about the perception.
But next week, I’m expecting we’ll start seeing more concrete manifestations taking shape, not just feelings.
We can assume whatever we like about what it all means when we see things taking form. A certain amount of evaluation is unavoidable. But I think it would be wise to stand back and not think too hard on it all. The picture is very far from clear yet.

Expect to see actual movement in the real world, as in undeniable physical manifestations beginning to appear from some of the energy that’s just been felt in the past couple of weeks. I’m seeing this largely as a time when obstacles are becoming more obvious, in particular.
So if you get started on something and find problems coming up? Those problems are doing you a favor! They are helping you address what needs to be mastered.
Don’t overthink it, obsess about it or otherwise expect to control anything. It’s not that far along yet. It’s all very new, just getting started. Take note and step back from the situation a little. There’s a real need for perspective that may not be easy to come by initially.
And do your best to bless whatever you see–whether you consider it good or bad.
It’s all necessary. It’s all right. And it’s all right now, just getting started. Are you ready to roll?
