Oy. I’m tired. Are you tired? It’s the Five of Cups today and sometimes, I can find it hard coming up with helpful, hopeful perspectives on life experiences that are just plain painful and difficult. That’s what I’m feeling when I look at this card, looking to give you something workable for today.
The Five of Cups is mourning a loss: death, breakups, financial downturns, whatever. And the Five of cups hurts, no question about it.
Things may not every be quite the same, and it’s beyond okay to mourn losses. It’s healthy and appropriate. But you want that mourning to be transitory, both because it sucks and because it can keep you from living if you linger too long.
Okay. See the Zombie behind the tree?
Yeah, I’m going there.
Part of what was, remains. Keep touch with what you’ve still got, the changes and lessons and essence of what may no longer be physically present in your life. If the person, situation or experience changed you, then it’s not really passed on completely, is it?
After you are done acknowledging losses, also acknowledge gains. Life must remain balanced to be lived to its’ fullest.
Are you suffering a loss?
