03/28/13: Calm Before and After the Storms / 4 of Swords

4-of-swords-meaning

This isn’t just a “taking a break”vision of the Four of Swords—this is a sign of relief! Frodo and his Hobbit friends escaped the danger…this time. And this version from the Lord of the Rings Tarot brings out an often-overlooked aspect of this card’s energy: it’s a safe resting period, but not in isolation. Coming in between the heartbreak of the Three of Swords and the rough battle of the Five of Swords, this is the calm both before and after a storm!

I’d suggest rest—but I often do! Review recent tribulations to divine your own role, and take a break. Because when the Five of Swords rolls around, you’ll be glad you got all your sleep and are ready to rock. You want to be on the winning end of any upcoming sword fights, right?

So yes, it’s safe. Use the quiet to regroup and replenish yourself so you’ll be up to the challenges that lie ahead.

Are you having a “Four of Swords” moment? (Take advantage of it, you’ll be glad later!)

  1. After the storm-YES! Before the storm? Yes, we’re sure there’s more on the way. Good advice to rest, regroup & GROUND before the next round of battle.

    Wise words again sweet lady
