“To be in the self means to be apart, to be separate….To be in the self means to make a distinction between ‘this I am’ and ‘that I am not’. The definition, the boundary, between ‘I’ and ‘not I’ is what the self is—the self isolates. And it makes you frozen—you are no longer flowing.” –Osho
The Osho Zen–as usual—has a unique take on the Three of Swords. This version does emphasize an important aspect of this card sometimes overlooked: the isolation (here “ice-olation”). Can you feel the chill?
At times, I feel the chill a lot more than I’d prefer! Incoming vibes is not all sunshine and roses, you know. There is a cost to maintaining psychic sensitivity. If somebody gets upset with me, I may feel the chill even though I’m not looking for it.
Most of the time, the energy of this card is short-lived. That’s a good thing! And remember, Tarot threes are a CREATIVE energy, even the chilly swords/air suit. Threes are also the number of birth, so if this is where you are, it’s good to remember that whatever is, this situation is a result not only of your actions or someone else’s actions, but the combination thereof.
We identify as individuals, but we are all part of a greater whole. In that context, no one can ever truly be alone.
To soothe any chill, look for connections. Generously seek understanding and release that which doesn’t matter all that much anyway. Because really, does it? That’s what melts the ice of ice-olation. Warmth from connection.
Are you feeling isolated?

About a week left on my Zodiac 2013 Forecasts. Then I’ll have to think of something else!
True literally and metaphorically with the wind chills here on the prarie…
I’m loving my little space heater to get toasty warm, but also loving a little isolation which just feels free.
Love that you’re making the most of it, sofie.
