I’ve been trying to get out of the tech business for a while now, a little bit at a time. That’s my pre-Tarot work, what’s paid my bills for the last several years. The work is fine. Virgo can plow through the details like butter. But that doesn’t mean they don’t get old. It’s just not where my heart is anymore.
For me, the challenge of moving on is two-fold: worry about completely replacing that income, and saying “no” when I’m asked to do something I know how to do for someone I may well like. These cards reminded me of that situation.

We’ve got the Devil inverted, along with the Page of Pentacles inverted. The Devil shows us where we’re chained up, limited, locked in. As I usually point out though, the Devil’s imprisonment is invariably our own doing, and hence, getting out of it is our own doing as well. Inverted, it’s an even looser restriction than we may think. That’s encouraging!
The Page of Pentacles can refer to loss of income, losing track of details, or simply letting go of material items, among other things. He could also advise being extra clear in communication. (Pages often bring messages, inverted the message can be missed.) I see him as counsel to stay focused on my goals (Pentacles are physical manifestation, inverted could be taken as loss of focus) and be prepared to adjust to material fluxes during the process. Fair enough.
I’ve already cleaned my closets to get rid of the stale energy and am putting my current attention primarily where I want it to be—here! I have stopped saying “Yes” to tech projects when I really want to say “No” and am trying my best to live with the same faith and trust I preach here every day. I think this will take me where I want to be.
Do you see this energy at work in your life?
